DESCRIPTION:Friday May 22 @ 7pm at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Sechelt; Saturday May 23 @ 7 pm at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Gibsons. \nBringing together A Cappella Strait and Choralations Children’s Choir in a program tracing the long tradition of people using music to reflect the conflicts of their times.\nFrom the Renaissance era until today\, choral music has been used to both protect and challenge the status quo\, to push for social change\, and to provide hope and inspiration for the future.\nIn this program the common thread is the struggle: as inspiration for the music\, or as a protest of a perceived injustice.\nWith styles ranging from motets and madrigals\, spirituals and protest songs\, to choral compositions\, this program should have something for everyone. \nTickets: (with cash) at Sechelt Visitors Centre in Sechelt and One Flower One Leaf Gallery in Gibsons or reserve seats and pay by e-transfer by emailing ACStrait21@gmail.com\n(Tickets will also be available at the door). DESCRIPTION:The upcoming Choral Concert with Choralations Children’s Choir and A Cappella Strait\, will feature songs about the cold of winter\, the celebration of Hanukkah\, and the mysteries and joys of Christmas. Exploring music from the Medieval times to today\, the listener will experience a wide range of musical styles and sounds. Both choral groups are under the direction of Janice Brunson. The 2 performances are: Friday Dec. 5 @ 7pm at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Sechelt\, and Saturday Dec. 6 @ 7 pm at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Gibsons.\nTickets $20.
