Sunshine Coast Spinners and Weavers Guild
We exist for the pursuit of fibre arts, such as spinning and weaving, and to provide an opportunity for the sharing of knowledge, skills and ideas with the community. All artists working with fibre are welcome, such as dyers, felters and rug hookers. We host two juried sales each year to showcase our members’ works and to share the love of our craft with the community at large. New members are always welcome.
A juried showcase of the best handwork from our guild members. Spinners, weavers, knitters, dyers, felters – we all offer the best from our studios at this juried show. You’ll find hand crafted blankets, shawls, table cloths, napkins, runners and tea towels. A variety of hats, scarves, cowls, shawls, sweaters, jackets, coats and more are included in our wearables selections. Finally we have many decorative items including wall hangings, mobiles, sculpture, vessels, pillows and toys. Spontaneous demos throughout the day, artists on site. We love to answer questions and show you how we made it!
