G.K. Ranu, Westcoast Artist
Sharn was blessed to be born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She is married to Bill, and is the mother of four wonderful humans. Sharn and her husband have a home in Gambier Harbour on Gambier Island in Howe Sound on the glorious westcoast of Canada. Sharn’s surroundings, especially Gambier Island, inspire her work.
Robert Frost’s epic poem: “The Road Not Taken” has always resonated with Sharn. “Knowing how way leads on to way”, she has regretted none of the less travelled paths she’s taken in life. Barring the challenges, the paths have led her to joy and peace. Taking the road less travelled has made all the difference for Sharn.
Sharn shares a venue exhibiting her art work during the 2024 art crawl, with her extremely talented friend and artist Craig Schneider in Sechelt, BC. Craig and his beautiful wife Erin are Sharn’s long time friends.
Sharn’s art tends towards landscapes, is bright with broad strokes, showcasing the energy she feels in her surroundings. She is a patriotic Canadian, a mountie, a writer, and an artist who enjoys living her busy life with her husband, their four kids and their dogs in Vancouver and Gambier Island BC.
