My work is developed through painting, drawing and collage in sketchbooks, this planning and exploration allows a more intuitive approach when it comes to fabric, paint and mixed media techniques. I work on paper and fabric with discharge, dyeing, drawing, painting and printing. Textile pieces are quilted by hand or machine and often both. Embellishments of buttons, embroidery stitch and beads are a common feature in my work, as are paint, coloured pencil and pen and ink.
