My art features precious scraps of retro and hand-dyed fabric, which I piece, appliqué, stamp and stitch. The crocheted-wire jewellery and sculptural vessels often incorporate reclaimed stone, jet, ivory, coral, beads, even ostrich egg! They are born of my love for the humble arts, and my impulse to reclaim and restore heritage materials. Me? I’m a gardener.
