Karin Taylor
A longtime wildlife artist who specializes in bear art, her current passion is creating ‘yoga bear’ statues: handsculpted wood cellulose statues coated in bronze enamel. A bronzed version of her bears can be seen at the base of the Inglis Trail in Gibsons.
Karin’s passion for animals and especially bears continue to inspire her.
Her friendly and often humorous wildlife art aim to encourage a feeling of more empathy towards our wilder neighbors nearby..

Her mixed media and acrylic wildlife or coastal paintings are mostly impressionistic.
The town of Gibsons commissioned Karin to create a bronzed version of her bears for the Gibsons Art Path ‘Boat Pose Bear’ can be found at the bottom of the Inglis Trail.
