Joelly Cright, 2nd generation painter,creates mixed medium paintings, focused on two distinct branches; flora & fauna.
“The flora: loose, impactful,bold, wild & expressive, impressionistic in nature. I paint these to free my hand, & to line my Mother’s path in the thicket of Alzheimer’s, with flowers. These garden pieces, are me, pouring my heart out, for her.
The fauna: a visual representation of my love of animals. These are realistic, & life sized. I depict the animal subjects respectfully, & hope the adoration comes through to create an honourable tribute. I am humbled to have the support of Robert Bateman, from whom I have learned much. In his honour a % of proceeds from fauna works are donated to wildlife charities in B.C.”
