Isobel Gibson
Isobel Gibson was artistic as a child in Ottawa, but upon marrying, moved to BC. Most years in North Vancouver, she volunteered in arts associations, took courses from the FCA. Retired to Sechelt in 1997, Isobel joined the Board of Gibsons School of the Arts, and took summer workshops. In 1999, she set up a series of watercolour lessons, evolving into “drop-in” sessions which continues today. For a few years this group participated in the Art Crawl. Now she helps lead that group at the SSAC in Sechelt. Isobel loves watercolour painting, the play between sunlight and shadows, reflected light, and the paint doing its own thing. Although varied, sunsets, landscapes, and sunlit flowers remain favourite themes. Isobel can be reached by email. Isobelart@gmail.com
