Ezmina Samaroo

I moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2022 after attending an Art workshop in Gibsons the previous summer. It is a decision I celebrate every day.
Throughout my life there has been little that has inspired me as much as the changing landscapes of the countries that I have called home. The colours, the sights, the smell, the sounds, the feelings of extreme heat and cold and everything in between, are all part of the tapestry of my life, and I am grateful to share them through my art
My relationship with landscapes and seascapes informs my work. My aim is to highlight the essence of the world as I see it through simplicity conveying a sense of liminal spaces with a focus on horizons and skies.
I am excited to participate in the Art Crawl again! This year I will be with talented local potter, Roxanne Hoffman showing in her home studio. We will be showing a combination of contemporary pottery & paintings. Her handmade ceramics are unique, decorative yet functional and are paired with my evocative landscapes & seascapes. There is something for everyone!
