My aim is to allow old wood to continue to express itself in a new life. I work with the discards of industrial logging, most often old growth, deemed not valuable economically, destined for pulp or hog fuel.
Using a variety of tools and techniques, I try to reveal the beauty and vitality that is always there.
Informed by 25 years of meditation practice, I am guided by these words of Suzuki Roshi:
