As a gardener and sculptor, I have spent the past 25 years in conversation with the forests, beaches and waters that are my home.
Each piece of wood I begin with is a unique expression of a myriad of causes and conditions. Sun, mineral soil and water create grain and colour, growth rings mark the passage of time, while the “imperfections” of weathering and scarring reveal a life lived.
