I am a mixed media artist working primarily on acrylic paintings on canvas and wooden cradle panels. Since graduating from Kwantlen College’s fine arts program 25 years ago, I have worked in series, enjoying using one work as the springboard to the next. A few years ago I moved from North Delta to Secret Cove, Halfmoon Bay, and have been working out of a small studio in my home overlooking both the forest and the Salish Sea. My current series, West Coast Whimsy, features colourful works inspired by the forests, cottages, birds, boats and beautiful waterfront and ocean views of our beautiful Sunshine Coast. Using bright colours, simplified shapes, and bold outlining, my works are intended to evoke a sense of joy and nostalgia.
