In the fall of 1985\, a small group of Haida people stood on a muddy logging road on Lyell Island—and refused to move. What followed was a landmark act of peaceful resistance that helped spark a nationwide reckoning around land\, sovereignty and environmental justice. DESCRIPTION:Brazil 2025\, 89 min\, Drama\nDirector: Gabriel Mascaro\nStarring: Denise Weinberg\, Rodrigo Santoro\, Miriam Socarras \nPortuguese with English subtitles \nSometime in the future\, the Brazilian government has implemented a policy of sending persons of 75 and older to a colony\, to conserve resources and presumably to comfortably live the last years of their lives. Teresa\, who at 77 was still working in a factory\, defies the order to leave and instead embarks on a journey seeking her one dream: to ride in an airplane. \nAlthough she has some resources\, including her life savings and her own determination\, she is challenged by needing her daughter’s permission to even buy a ticket and by being sought by authorities. She succeeds and her magical journey begins.
