“TOP COATS – Selecting and Applying Your Final Finish”

You hopefully agree that it’s important to keep learning in your chosen area of woodworking, and surely that means you also want to learn more about finishes and how to achieve the best results.

The Education Committee admits that the vast array of products can be confusing and overwhelming. We’ll be looking at numerous products, some of which will likely be familiar to you, while others might be new and waiting for you to try them. With your future projects, we hope you will gain confidence with selected finishes and finishing techniques.

We’ll be looking at polyurethanes, lacquer, shellac, varnish, oils, hybrid finishes, and waxes. Due to a lack of time, we will not be covering paint finishes.
