SC Botanical Gardens: Solstice Celebration

Join us at the Garden on the shortest day of the year for this magical, family-friendly gathering to celebrate the winter solstice.
This year’s lantern procession will follow a new route at the Garden, and will end with music by the fire on our back terrace.
Marvel at the imaginative light and soundscapes created by SC Astronomers, SC Community Orchestra, Laurie Beeman, Driftwood Theatre School’s Technically Magic Program, Sherryl Latimer and Sarah Dhillon, and more. Music by the fire performed by Jill Shatford and Cliff Simon.
Processions: 4:30pm, 5:30pm. Music at 6 pm.
Dress warm and bring a flashlight and/or a lantern (LED, no flame or glass please). Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
