SC Arts Centre: Artesia Coffee House – Special International Women’s Day event

Join us for a night of great live music, tasty treats and good company in an intimate and welcoming venue. Featuring Simbi + the witness, a singer, songwriter and guitarist with gypsy folk sounds with themes that are designed to elicit catharsis; the dynamic duo, ‘KaraVal’ featuring violinist, Karen Foster, and Val Rutter on piano and recorders. These women have both enjoyed extensive performing and recording careers in Europe and North America with musical styles varying from Folk to Film and Baroque to Bartok; novelist Rosella who has written, or co-written eight published books including her latest, A Dementia Caregiver’s Journey. Closing the evening Jacquie Allan and Wanda Nowicki combine their vocal energies, accompanying them is  Anna Lumiere on piano and Tiffany Bowen on upright bass. Together these 4 women will celebrate International Women’s day through a short set with the music focusing on …. what else? LOVE!
