Pender Harbour Wildlife Presentation: Gardening with Native Plants

The presentation from Karen Cummins & Jan Smith will focus on what makes healthy habitat for people and wildlife. What can we do about the global biodiversity crisis? Look to our own yard as a place for positive change! Karen and Jan will teach us about using native plants and the practices that support nature in our home gardens. We will learn about the potential of native trees, shrubs, grasses, and flowering plants to be the anchors of a healthy habitat. During this presentation we will also become familiar with species that are native to our area and how to plan and plant for success.
