Opportunity: Mary Forstbauer Grant and Inclusion Grant – Farmers Market Vendors

Deadline November 30, 2023. The BC Association of Farmers’ Markets (BCAFM) recently announced two funding opportunities for farm or food vendors who sell at BCAFM member farmers’ markets! They are now accepting applications for two exciting BCAFM vendor grants:

The 2024 Mary Forstbauer Grant to support a farmer selling at BCAFM member farmers’ markets. This annual $500 grant can be used to implement a new initiative on your farm through supplies, training, new equipment, services, contractors, staff or consultants. Apply Now!

The 2023 BCAFM Inclusion Grant for farmers’ market vendor businesses who sell at BCAFM member farmers’ markets and who are owned by members of groups experiencing historical and/or current barriers to inclusion and equity. A total of 10 grants of $500 each will be awarded, with 1 grant awarded in each of the 10 BCAFM geographical regions. Funds can be used to strengthen or support the growth of your business through marketing, promotions, communications, equipment, supplies, training services, contractors, staff and consultants.
