Opportunity: CALL TO ARTISTS | Black History Month 2026
September 10, 2025
Deadline October 15th. In 2026 we’re holding space for Black History Month from February 12th – March 8th. All visual artists of African descent, working in any style or medium, are invited to submit a proposal using our online form by the deadline of October 15th. Taking place in our Eve Smart Gallery, the aim of this exhibition is to provide an opportunity for conversation and connection. Previous Black History Month exhibitions include T. Owens Union’s Stories That Still Need to Be Told (2025), Ezmina Samaroo’s Distant Shores New Horizons (2024), Black History Month with Teri Ejere (2023), and Denise Brown’s The Fabric of Freedom – Quilts and the Underground Railroad (2021).
