An Interactive Workshop with Syiyaya

We are honoured to have Syiyaya facilitators and Indigenous witnesses offer this unique educational event. Standing on a map invites Indigenous and Settler participants to consider our relationships with each other, and our historic and current place in Canada. We reflect on “Terra Nullius” (Empty Land) and the “Doctrine of Discovery” in colonialism (which included establishing residential schools), and juxtapose those with an exploration of Indigenous Traditional Knowledge.
Complements and furthers the KAIROS Blanket Exercise experience (Oct 20).
