Homes for Wildlife Workshop (Gibsons)

Celebrate the arrival of spring by helping local wildlife! Community members of all ages are warmly invited to join biologists from the Sunshine Coast Wildlife Project to build their own bat houses, swallow nest boxes, owl nest boxes, or mason bee homes from easy-to-assemble kits. Drop by any time between 10AM and 2PM to build a box, chat about local wildlife, or learn how to get involved in local habitat stewardship and wildlife monitoring activities. Kits take about 30 minutes to assemble, and ready-made nest boxes will also be available. Kits subject to availability. Cost for materials is $25 for swallow boxes and $40 for all other boxes. If you cannot attend this date, similar events will be held in Halfmoon Bay (March 26), Davis Bay (April 1), and Madeira Park (April 2).
