to March 8th. Blurring the boundaries between myth and memory, Nea Antoine explores Caribbean folklore as a living expression of Black identity, resilience, and creativity. Drawing from the oral traditions of Dominica and the wider Caribbean, mythical figures are reinterpreted through a contemporary visual language. Through her use of colour, texture, and symbolism, Antoine transforms folklore into a site of reclamation, emphasizing the endurance of ancestral wisdom within modern diasporic life and celebrating Black creativity, cultural continuity, and the enduring strength found in shared memory. An exhibition in the Eve Smart Gallery honouring Black History Month.
Join us for the Opening Reception on Sat. Feb. 14th, 2pm – 4pm. All are welcome!
