Being There for Grieving Children: How do we support children & families when their world turns upside down?

March 31 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

By donation

A safe space will be created for open conversation about supporting children and families who are grieving a significant loss. Dr Heather Mohan will reflect on some lessons she has learned in her work as a grief counsellor and expressive arts therapist, broadening our understanding of the grieving process for children, youth and families, and expanding our knowledge of effective ways to support them.
Following Heather’s presentation, several members of our community who have experienced grief and loss with children will join in a facilitated conversation. Audience members will also have opportunity to ask questions and share their own experience.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission by donation at the door; all proceeds go to Sunshine Coast Hospice.
