Writers in 100 Years on the Sunshine Coast

On Wednesday, November 30th, SCWES received a proclamation from Councillor David Croal on behalf of Mayor Silas White, declaring February 20th to 25th, 2023 as Heritage Week in Gibsons.
To celebrate there will be a special event held in collaboration with and at the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives in Gibsons Saturday, February 25th, 2–3:30 pm, called 100 Writers in 100 Years on the Sunshine Coast. This will be a kickoff of an educational project featuring Sunshine Coast authors.
Our program will present:
Hubert Evans, journalist by Mike Starr and Jennie Tschoban
Bertrand W. Sinclair, western author by Betty Keller
Muriel Wylie Blanchet by Heather Conn
Lester Peterson by Jan DeGrass
There will be a break, then a panel discussion with audience participation.
